Ben must prove he is good enough to date cop James' sister. By doing this he goes on a "Ride Along" to show that he is not weak and he will do whatever it takes to get James' approval but along the way runs into a few obstacles that he has to overcome in a very funny way.
Ben(Kevin Hart) a security guard, who is trying to prove a cop named James(Ice Cube) that he is good enough for his sister, who Ben is currently dating, and wants to marry. Ben wants to become a cop, so James takes Ben along for patrol ride. Ben hopes to prove to James that he is good enough for his worthy enough for his sisters love.<br/><br/>I liked the comic chemistry that Cube and Hart had, they just played off each perfectly. But there times some moments that where too predicable, I mean even before they happen you can pretty see it coming. But all in all a enjoyable flick, never tries to hard to be something it's not. Notgood The Heat(2013), but almost gets there.
Ride Along is a 2014 action crime comedy starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart and tells the story of a trainee cop played by Hart who wants to marry his girlfriend. Of course his girlfriend's brother is a cop played by Cube and in order for Hart's character to prove to Cube's character that he wants to marry his girlfriend,Cube's character decides to train Hart's character and learns to prove himself.<br/><br/>Now this type of film has been done before,you know what is gonna happen straight away and I am now becoming a fan of Kevin Hart'sI didn't know who he was till last year when he was in another action crime comedy called Central Intelligence. <br/><br/>Overall I enjoyed it it was a decent flick and I was glad to have gotten it on Blu Ray and a good price.
A little Kevin Hart goes a long way in Ride Along, a dull buddy picture engineereda vehicle for the mini motor mouth and the perma-sneering Ice Cube.
